It’s difficult to put pen to paper and, in a few short paragraphs, explain what you mean to us. But we would like to say thank you. Thank you for the beauty and consistency we have seen in your marriage and the way you together have followed our precious Lord. The result of your obedience has shown in your lives well lived. Watching you follow our Lord and the wisdom from His word has been life-changing for our congregation. It has taught us that we can move forward, grow, and become like Christ.
You have taught us how to pray, and what we gleaned under your leadership is this: There is nothing too trivial, insignificant, foolish, or unimportant touching our lives that doesn’t touch Jesus. We humbly recognize our vulnerability before our Holy God, He will deliver great rewards in our lives.
You’ve shown us that there are safe people in this world as we learned to trust you two. Beginning early your ministry at FFC, the Lord used you as vessels extending grace. That grace set a parameter and cast a vision for future growth. It laid a foundation that made it possible for us to step beyond our preconceived mindsets and learn to worship once again.
Thank you for the many ways God used you as an instrument in pulling this congregation together, loving each other, and helping us see a path forward. Thank you for showing us the stability of the Christ of Calvary and His work upon the cross. You reminded us that there should be no higher priority in our lives than to serve Him. Thank you for following the Holy Spirit and allowing God to have charge in the services. For the life-changing moments of salvations, baptisms, and commitments to our Lord. Thank you for the many hours spent in visitation, for caring about us and our families, for being at the bedside of our sick and dying family members, for praying for us in the night, and for walking with us in our grief. Thank you for your love, wisdom, and compassion, for the laughter (and giggles), the soccer games, the peace, and the fun. Thank you for opening your home for fellowship, parties, and good food.
We are excited about the new adventures and possibilities you will experience–times with children, grand-babies, and each other. May the Lord bless you in your retirement.
Keith and Robin met our vision: “We are a haven of hope and healing where the lost and broken experience Christ and become the radiant church of Jesus Christ.”
